Body Type || Well muscled/ Strong

Written Appearance || A rather muscular and large tom for his age with huge paws that are a little big for him, sometimes causing him to trip over himself. Copperpaw has medium sized ears and handsome dark ginger/dark brown eyes. Copperpaw's body is rather large and has a stocky build, perfect for a powerful warrior but not the best with speed. At the moment speed isn't a problem but as he grows older he'll most likely also get slower and will have to rely on strength entirely. His tail is fairly short and fluffy and is covered with the same spiky, yet soft, light ginger fur that also covers his body, especially on his head and neck. Copperpaw's main markings are dark/light ginger, with a dark, almost black gray in several areas such as the toes, eyes and ears. The only white found is the inner fur in the ears, stripes along the bottom of his eyes and the tip of his tail. All four of his pads have darker toned skin depending on where the black marks his toes and long claws inhabit his larger paws. A slightly larger tooth usually pokes out of his mouth but that is expected to leave with time. Copperpaw's back is covered with the darker ginger color, almost resembling a dorsal stripe that loops around his neck like a collar would and ends at the beginning of his tail.

Disabilities / Scars || Copperpaw has scars along his eyebrow on his left eye that he gained fighting Tigersun. The copper apprentice also has scars on his right back leg from a really sharp piece of metal. This scar wraps around his leg in one strand and the medicine cats say he's lucky that he didn't lose his leg. Copperpaw also does have a slight disability that he has recently discovered. Lately, he has a problem with the sun. The medicine cat explains that he has developed a sensitivity to the sun if he looks at it for too long or if he stays in the sun for too long, away from shelter or shade. However, this should disappear within time as long as he doesn't damage the iris.

[ Mischievous ] - Copperpaw knows how to get into trouble. One moment he'll be sitting there with an innocent look on his face and you turn around for one second and the next thing you know, he's off trying to jump over a river to see how far he can go. This trait has gotten him into more than one life threatening situation and he has yet to learn from his foolishness. Copperpaw is incredibly playful and doesn't mind getting others to join in with his roguish plans. He can be a bit of a daredevil and doesn't think about the dangers he puts others and himself into when he goes on a brainless spree of dangerous stunts. Mostly, he does this just to gain attention because of his parents abandoning him so long ago. He has a fear of being left behind and believes that if the attention is always on him that he won't be forgotten.

[ Independent/Self-Centered ] - “I work alone.” When it comes to Copperpaw, everything is about him. He doesn't care about others interests and would rather talk about himself rather then others. Copperpaw can be incredibly selfish and rude and one of his more popular quotes is “Better you than me.”. He will protect his clan, but not because he necessarily is loyal but because they took him in and he believes he owes them. However, this doesn't mean that in a life threatening situation that he wouldn't leave one of his own clanmates behind, just to save his own skin. Copperpaw is also incredibly independent. He isn't influenced by others matters of opinion and could care less about authority. He never takes punishments seriously and still doesn't fully understand the logic behind the warrior code. Copperpaw likes doing things by himself and hates teamwork. He'll often bicker with others because he believes he's always right and what he says goes.

[ Fearless/Brave ] - Copperpaw simply doesn't register fear. He finds it a useless emotion and says that those who feel fear are weak and shouldn't be warriors. Does this mean that he still doesn't feel fear? No. Copperpaw simply just won't admit it whenever he is afraid because he hates the feeling of not being able to do something in certain situations, like when he was a kit. Due to his mischievous nature, he's also quite brave. Mostly, because of the idiotic things he does in his spare time and also because he likes to show off his strengths. He enjoys a good challenge and is always good of thinking up new things to do if he ever runs out of ideas.

[ Cunning/Sly] - Copperpaw knows how to get out of situations quickly when needed. He has an incredibly slick tongue and in certain situations know how to use it for his own benefit. Copperpaw is incredibly smart and is a very quick learner. He knows how to easily persuade others into doing his dirty work for him and is known for using others and then throwing them away. Friends have to be careful because if he sees something he could use you for he'll play nice and before you know it you're in huge trouble all because of him. Copperpaw is incredibly secretive and is rather keen on lying. It's hard to tell the truth from the lie whenever he speaks and most sentences he says, have different meanings attached to them. He can be really deceiving and enjoys leading other onto the wrong path and watching them fall just so he can enjoy your failure. However, get on this cats' good side and treat him like the leader he wants to be or to do something for him and he will always do something for you in return.

[ Vain/Conceited ] - Copperpaw is all about appearance. He likes looking his best and keeping his fur perfect, especially on his head. He like his head fur to be perfectly spiked in the upward motion and even one hair out of place will send him into a frenzy of trying to make it perfect again. Copperpaw can be known for favouring himself and sometimes believes he's entitled to certain luxuries others can't afford like skipping training just to fix his appearance. He believes that he is Starclan's gift to the earth and that others should be fainting at his paws just to be talking to him. Copperpaw also takes favouring in his own abilities. He decided long ago that everything he does is right and he will completely flip out at you if you say otherwise. He could care less about what you think or do, all he cares about is himself and his needs. You need help with a battle move? He won't care because right then and there he's probably too busy looking at his perfect reflection to give a damn. If it isn't about him, he's not interested.

[ Surly/Bossy ] - Copperpaw is an incredibly rude little bastard. He is one of those cats with an incredibly short fuse that goes off even over the silliest things. He has an incredibly bad temper on him and can be easily annoyed over things that don't really matter. In other words he's an incredibly splenetic tom who's almost always in a bad mood. Copperpaw can be incredibly dark-hearted and menacing and in some cases dismal, He's got a talent for threatening others to get them to do something and isn't someone you want to trust with secrets. On top of it all, Copperpaw is probably the most bossy apprentice you've met. You'll take him out for training and he'll end up being the one teaching you. He likes being the 'Alpha Dog' in any case and can be quite demanding. He orders others about like they're slaves and will snap at those who object to the way he does something.

[ Stubborn ] - Copperpaw likes it when things go his way. If others disagree with him, he won't do anything until they finally decide to do it his way. If you want to go patrolling and he wants to hunt then you'd better put him on the hunting patrol or things could get ugly. Copperpaw is unreasonable and it's hard to get him to do something he doesn't want to do. He can be really hard to manage and suppress in most cases and isn't afraid to argue with his mentor to get something he wants. Sometimes he can be childish about it and throw horrible anger fits but if you show him who's boss he will, in the end, reluctantly follow.

{ Backstory }

Hollyleaf and Foxbreath had been in love from the start. They'd been raised together from birth and many of the warriors noticed their growing relationship during their apprenticeships. Many knew these two would become mates but the former medicine cat urged them not to, having seen in a dream that if they were to have kits, their lives would be forever cursed by a kit who would become an angel of darkness and would bring nothing but death and suffering in the future. However, Hollyleaf and Foxbreath both ignored this, for the medicine cat was old and babbled paranoia most of the time and soon after becoming warriors, the two had their first litter of kittens. Many of the cats in the clan were shocked at this, due to the young age of the two warriors but accepted any new life into their clan. Still, this day only brought sorrow. Three out of the four kits had been stillborn, leaving only one tom alive, Copperpaw. The birth was long and hard and due to this, it killed poor Hollyleaf who bled to death. The medicine cat instantly began shouting about how this was only just the beginning of the death that would come and had to be dragged away from the family, leaving Foxbreath to morn for the loss of his mate. He heard the words of the medicine cat and soon was led to believe them. Foxbreath decided to steal the kit and after a month had passed, he did just that. On a dark snowy night, Foxbreath quietly slipped into the nursery and stole Copperpaw away, fleeing into the night, far away from the clans. There, at the edge of the forest he left the kit and quickly returned home, creating a story that something had gotten into the nursery and taken his kit.
However, Copperpaw didn't die like he was meant to. By blind luck he was found by two apprentices who'd wandered off from their Shadowclan duties. At first they thought little Copperpaw was a spy and debated killing him, but eventually took him home to the Shadowclan, where a queen agreed to nurse him and named the little copper colored kit Copperkit. Thunderclan searched for the missing kit but never did they find him and he was raised in Shadowclan as the memory of him and his dead father, who died of mental illness, faded away into nothing. Since then, he's lived in Shadowclan peacefully, trying his best, despite his many flaws personality wise and has been led to believe that his parents abandoned him. This has stirred many questions in the young tom and despite the fact that, according to the stories he was told, that his parents abandoned him, he still can't help but feel love towards them and has to this day searches for them, never to know of their demise and that according to the former medicine cat, was only just the beginning...

Copperpaw's silence was rudely invaded by a slightly smaller and darker apprentice, who talked in a rather, distinguished tone which annoyed Copperpaw, who turned around with a lash of his tail. "Do I know you?" the copper apprentice asked. It wasn't that Copperpaw didn't know anyone in his clan, it was just that he couldn't be bothered to care who most of them were. To him, those he saw lower then himself he didn't bother to get to know. He'd seen this dark apprentice around often and this tone he used with Copperpaw was one he used around other cats. Copperpaw didn't like the sight of the tom from the moment he'd laid eyes on him, he hated the fact that this cat could be a challenge or a threat to those Copperpaw wished to control and Copperpaw would have none of it. His eyes pierced into the other apprentices' as if challenging him to say something snarky that he'd later regret when Copperpaw sliced off his tongue and shoved it down his throat. Still, the tom couldn't help but let a smirk cross over his face, it had been a while since anyone had used a superior tone around him. Those who knew better didn't do anything that Copperpaw would take as a challenge, but this cat on the other hand obviously didn't. Still, two could play at that game and soon Copperpaw was swiping his tongue over his left paw, allowing his abnormally long claws shimmer int he night, threatening the other apprentice to watch where he tread because at this moment he was walking on eggshells. Before the cat could tell Copperpaw his name the copper colored cat spoke "You must be that cat...Enderpaw. Am i correct?" he spoke in a civilized manner, however, deep in his voice venom tainted it, as if he were trying to intimidate the other cat "I've heard quite a bit about you..." he spoke again, getting up and walking around the tom, dangerously close to him. "You're quite strong...for a pipsqueak that is." There it was, the line that Copperpaw had been waiting to release. Though he could have said anything to rile up the other cat, Copperpaw chose to say this. Though Enderpaw wasn't much smaller, only about six or eight inches, Copperpaw knew this would probably get to him and he wanted to see how he would react to this.
